Parisian, son of a caterer, graduate of the Ecole Hôtelière de Paris, then an MBA acquired in Switzerland, Michel Cottray has pursued an international career, mainly with the Starwood group, then Steigenberger and now Hyatt, in twelve different countries from Germany to Thailand, Greece to Monaco, Hong Kong to Belgium where he has been running the last 5 years the emblematic Wiltcher's Hotel, the Grand Hotel of the European capital.

Recently appointed in the fall, he took over the no less mythical Hotel Martinez, the Art Deco jewel of Cannes, the hotel of the Stars, completely renovated and synonymous with "luxury charm à la Française".

With nearly 30 years of membership in the Chaîne (joined in 1999 in Australia, promoted to Bailli de Bali a few years later then Bailli Délégué de France in 2010 before moving to Greece.), Michel has been a member in a dozen Bailliages, including exotic Bailliages such as Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, a loyalty without fail.

His wife Heike follows him in his travels, in turn and for a time Bailli Délégué of the Principality of Monaco... The Chaîne is omnipresent in the Cottray couple and we thank both of them for their precious presence !
