Welcome Dinner is a celebration of a “return to the origins,” where Chef Vítor Adão, our Confrère, presents a tasting menu that crosses Portuguese tradition with a contemporary flair. Prepare to be delighted by dishes that reflect his focus on fresh, seasonal, and national produce.

A Nature Experience by Chaine Chefs

Dedicated to the Chaîne Nature theme and the authentic, rural spirit of Portugal. We travel to the Bairrada region for an unforgettable event at the prestigious Luís Pato Winery. The highlight is an exceptional, country-style lunch held right in the vineyards, where the traditional Bairrada roast suckling pig is the centerpiece. In a setting of pure conviviality, Chaîne Chefs will be invited to cook live, ensuring a genuine celebration of nature and gastronomy.

We then head over the bridge for Dinner at the Proa Tavern. Our fellow members Lidia Brás and Fernando Araujo will serve us a selection of traditional Portuguese seafood

We start the day with a visit to one of the famous Porto cellars The Grahams Cellars where we will have a Porto Wine a tasting

The itinerary continues to the historic Mercado do Bolhão, to savour the freshest local produce, concluding the visit with a tapas-style lunch, celebrating the authentic flavours of northern Portugal

Induction Ceremony

We gather at the Atkinson Courtyard, where the soft light of late afternoon creates a warm and inviting atmosphere to begin our celebration. The Induction Ceremony of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs follows, held in a serene and distinguished setting — a fitting stage to welcome the new members of our confrérie. We then make our way to the 1882 Restaurant for the Gala Dinner. Overlooking the Douro River, the 1882 offers a setting that bridges heritage and modernity, where elegance meets a contemporary interpretation of Portuguese gastronomy. Around the table, we honour what unites us: tradition, excellence, fellowship, and the joy of sharing memorable moments.

Goodbye Brunch

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to an exclusive Brunch at the Altis Porto, a space where sophistication meets modern hospitality.
