adventure to witness the famous waves of Nazaré. Wish us good luck.
Finally, the greatest glory: lunch. Hosted by our confrères Nuno Aleluia and Rute
Codinha, a timeless tribute to this remarkable seaside town.

The Young Sommeliers Competition was first organized by the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in Germany in 2007 to support and promote future young sommeliers, giving them the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their skills. Competitions are held at the regional, national, and international levels around the world.
The competition is open to sommeliers who are at least 21 and under 28 years of age at the start of the International Competition Finals in October 2026. Contestants must be wine and beverage professionals. They must be citizens or legal residents of the country they represent. This includes those who hold Advanced Sommelier or Master Sommelier qualifications, or their equivalent.
Participation in an international competition of this nature offers significant benefits, both from an educational standpoint and in terms of broadening professional experience and meeting other young professionals with similar careers.
The consistent composure that accompanies self-confidence in competitive situations can only arise when specialized knowledge is underpinned by passion and a love for the subject. One of the Chaîne’s objectives is to encourage and support these young professionals.
Owners, managers, sommeliers, and instructors are invited to nominate candidates, who must submit complete résumés to the National Echanson and the Bailli Délégué.
The final competition will take place at Restaurante Feitoria in Lisbon on Sunday, May 31, 2025.
